The Samurai's Daughter by Sujata Massey

My mom likes murder mysteries. This is another one narrated by a Japanese-American antiques dealer, Rei Shimura, from San Francisco and living in Tokyo. It seemed more closely like what I would expect from a murder mystery. And the author seems to know a lot about Japanese history, culture and food, giving the novel texture. Maybe I'm just not a huge murder mystery fan. The book was just fine. I wouldn't have spent the postage my mother paid to ship it to me from Hawaii. But ok. To each his own.
