This one was a challenge, because it requires some shading to really pull it off. I used a lot of tiny pen lines in some areas; and I used a "dry" brush in others. Lots of lines can work, as long as people see the totality as a shadow instead of seeing all the individual lines. (It's the forest rather than the trees effect.) Dry brush is always a bit tricky because you never know how blotchy it'll come out.
Both of these techniques work in some places, but not quite so well in others (e.g., I'm not convinced that Colimbo's tongue is correct in panel 5).
