The weather has taken a change for the worse and it is suppose to continue along those lines for a while. Hopefully, that will not be the case, but for today…. That doesn’t mean I’ll trade going back to NYC. Much better to go snorkeling in the rain. Sadly, the underwater environment is still rather murky, but I still got to swim around with a sea turtle and interrupt a family of three spiny lobsters. Weatherunderground, which is a pretty good weather-reporting site, has a webcam for the beach/hotel that I’m at—maybe you’ll see me walk by. It doesn’t seem to be on at night, however. Denizen of the day: leaping lizards! Yes, I know that sounds like it should be from an old comic, but there are all these tiny lizards scurrying around here that tend to jump from one point to another. I’ve tried to catch them, but they—well, leap out of the way. Apparently, as the link will show, many of the island’s lizards face extinction even as new species are found.
