The Last Airbender - M. Night Shyamalan

As I've mentioned before, I loved Avatar: The Last Airbender set in a world where people have control over the elements and about the war that breaks out between them. It has action, adventure, drama, romance, pathos, humor, intrigue, and more. The movie has none of this. Shyamalana-ding-dong provides a soulless interpretation of the first season of the show, cutting out most of what made it great (and I'm not simply referring to the plot) and replacing it with unimpressive F/X (which I certainly didn't have to pay extra for the 3D version) and dull action scenes, the only things I thought would be a no-brainer to produce. Few of the cast seem to fit their parts and I would be surprised to hear they knew of the original, as they didn't seem to even know their lines, but I suppose they made up for it with annoying exposition and mindless repetition. Maybe I could stomach being simply disappointed with the film if the projector didn't break down when I first attempted to see it and experienced a 45 minute delay the second time.
