Air: Flying Machine - G. Willow Wilson

Even if I didn't care for the first volume of this series about a mysterious Saudi and a flight attendent with vertigo who have to keep an increadibly powerful energy source (that either powers flight or maybe even shapes reality) out of the generic wrong hands, I figured I'd give the second volume a look. There seems to be a lot of interesting idea revolving around the concept that symbols shape reality, rather than sysmbols being representations for reality, but I still don't feel much of anything for the characters and get the impression that plot is sort of thrown at the reader.
