The third of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen series shows that every installment gets weaker than the last. This story is really about introducing a few new characters and finding a replacement for the misanthropic Captain Nemo. Is there a rape or attempted rape is all of these stories? Just asking. The story is rather dull and is quickly losing the appeal of the original, which was in seeing all these characters that the reader grew up with put together and sent on adventures. At this point, Moore is gasping at straws and the more obscure the characters the less interesting the idea becomes. Nothing interesting happens in this tale. Skip it.
