Thanks to Rod, Lizzy and I went to see Love, Loss, and What I Wore based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, at a discount. Not caring anything about fashion, Lizzy didn't enjoy it as much as I did growing up with my Mom and sister in constant discussion of such things. Still, few could have enjoyed it more than the gay man sitting to my left. Its a funny and poignant series of tales dealing with various women and how their relationships with family, life, and lovers are shaped by and shape their fashion decisions. The play is read by five woman and, while I missed the cast I would have preferred, Tyne Daly and Jane Lynch rocked (and I wish Lisa Joyce would rock my world, lord, I could get lost in her hair).
