Lobster Johnson: The Iron Prometheus - Mike Mignola

Lobster_Johnson_2Lobster_Johnson I actually didn’t expect much from this slightly super powered vigilante who battles mobsters and saboteurs in the 1930s NYC area. Mignola’s characters usually work best when he’s writer/artist and Jason Armstrong didn’t attempt to imitate Mignola’s style. And yet I thrilled at Lobster’s struggle against Nazis and mystical enemies determined to use are discovered ancient power source to restart the glory of a fabled empire. Don’t read it for profound literature, but for the Yog-Sothothery elements.
