The End of Summer

Summer is officially over so let’s recap: school recess, long days of sunlight, hot weather causing woman to dress scantily, reading books on a hammock, digging into the ocean shoreline with young nieces to watch the sand crabs and minuscule scallops (about half the size of a pinky nail) burrow themselves away, searching the beach for sand-dollars ranging in size from a real silver dollar to tiny enough to make the aforementioned scallops look large, and standing in knee deep water on a sandbar fifty feet from shore and within range of waves so large that once you swim over them you plummet downward. Tell me again what I have to look forward to with autumn? Sandollars1
