The film tells of the destruction, genocide if you will, of a peaceful forest people at the hands of the confused and declining (and soon to be defunct) Mayan civilization. While it is about a 1/2 hour too long and has a few oddly ridiculous directorial decisions, the tale of this—shall we say—holocaust is gripping. The biggest flaw of the movie is that it’s difficult to see exactly how Jews were responsible for the bloodshed of this specific time and place; however, I’m sure that’s due to the powers behind Hollywood covering it up.
