I’ll be honest: I thought this was the aftermath of Cap being killed off in Civil War. It seems I’m about a decade off. This tale is about the all American hero being rescued from the jaws of death in order to save the world from being reshaped into the twisted dream of Hitler. I haven’t read Captain America in over fifteen years and this provides no incentive. Waid is a decent writer, but apparently forgets that having a twist isn’t the same as writing well (this goes to you too M. Night Shyamalan). How bad does a comic have to be to include one of my favorite villains and yet I couldn’t be bothered to read the final page?!
