Fearproof Your Life: How to Thrive in a World Addicted to Fear – Joseph Bailey

Bailey is concerned that people are addicted to fear, especially after 9/11, and wrote this book to give advice on how to break the habit. The only problem is that there is no actual advice, just a lot of “believe in yourself” pep-talk. Many of my friends know that I’ve been out of sorts of late, which is why I’ve been looking at such books to begin with, and I recognize just how important the feel good about yourself speeches are, but talk without action eventually becomes counterproductive as, without real change, the speeches feel like lies.
