On August first I went to the Westhampton Free Library to attend a class on how to buy and sell on eBay, as I figured it was time to enter the new millennium. As a teacher, I understand how frustrating it is to have a group of students that just don’t grasp what is going on; as a student, I understand the frustration of having a teacher who doesn’t have a clue how to explain the subject. Luckily, I was in the middle of both. After over an hour and a half (granted, ten minutes were spent by the instructor on trying to get the computer to turn on and twenty was spent on attempting to explain to a self-declared economist that eBay wasn’t an elaborate scam to steal her grandmother’s tea set) I gave up and left, realizing that I would have learned more skimming through some book. Thank goodness I was in a library.
