A generation after the last human has been born, governments, societies, and individuals are handling the situation as poorly as you’d expect them to when staring unequivocal impending annihilation straight in the face. All of a sudden Theo, a one time political activist and current clog in the inertia driven machine, is given charge of protecting humanity’s salvation, but can he save it, humanity, and himself? If the book this was based on is as dystopian, violent, and gripping as the film, I’m going to avoid it. Faced with such an array of powerful images, I felt dirty just by watching. Bravo.
