Held prisoner aboard the tyrannical Baron’s dirigible fortress, Agatha settles in, making friends and getting better acquainted with her captor’s son, Gilgamesh. Before things get too homey she discovers that not only is she a “spark,” one of the scientifically and magically gifted beings that shape medieval Europe, but that she is the offspring of the missing legendary Heterodynes (something we have known from the start). Naturally chaos ensues and Agatha is forced to flee for her life. Why can’t more comics have this much fantastical adventure centering on a strong female character?
