Perrault’s Complete Fairy Tales – Charles Perrault

This collection includes all eleven tales attributed to Perrault plus some others. The Grimm stories are very Germanic in a wonderfully barbaric way and these tales have a certain French je ne sais quoi. They include Perrault’s "Little Red Riding Hood," minus the huntsman, "Sleeping Beauty," without the quick happily ever after, and, perhaps my favorite, the blood soaked tale of "Bluebeard," as well as softer tales such as “Puss in Boots,” about a very clever cat, all great additions to the stock and trade by a master storyteller.
