Tales of Supernatural Law vol. I – Batton Lash

The concept of two attorneys who tackle cases for ghosts, goblins and ghouls seems very appealing, except that the characters are rather flat, the humor is nothing but horrible puns, and the legal cases are rather sophomoric. The only truly great story in this collection is when the lawyers for the macabre defend the stand-in for Epic comic’s Crypt Keeper from the legacy of the Dr. Fredric Wertham stand-in. Only here could Lash’s passions be felt in his defense of the cherished comic book against the nightmare of the 1950’s anti-comic crusade.
