The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

When a mysterious shark kills the best friend of ageing aquatic documentarian, Zissou, he rallies his crew, estranged wife, professional rival, a pregnant journalist, and the man who might be his son for revenge. This clever tribute to Jacques Cousteau is more of a sentimental journey about self-examination than a comedy. It does both quite well, even if the slow, quirky pace is not for everyone.
