Project: Superior is, for lack of a better description, an anthology of silly superhero stories by ""underground"" artists. The good news is that there is a wide range of talents and styles on display here, each presenting a flavor of the possibilities of comic art. The bad news is that their talents are squandered on the largely bankrupt genre of superheroes. Despite the great artwork and craftsmanship, there just isn't much here that is funny or interesting. Like most anthologies, there are a few standouts here, but they get lost amidst the sea of similar ideas. It's a shame, really, because unlike most anthologies, all the creators seem worthy of ""primetime."" Adhouse Books would have been better served by letting these creators go free form rather than shoehorning them into superheroes. There's a reason these guys aren't working for Marvel and DC: they're too for good it.
